Boise Real Estate has been considered amongst Forbes magazine as one of the top 30 cities (currently top 5) to move into and John Burns with Real Estate Consulting puts Boise amongst those at the bottom of the list for markets headed for a potential housing bubble. With that said, Boise is one of those cities that is escaping the market woes.
One of the reasons that Boise Real Estate is such a strong place to move in terms of housing prices, is due to the facts that people are fleeing what is known as the "Blue" states: California, Oregon, and Washington for example (more info). This migration of people out of these blue states has helped the Boise market rise a steady 4 - 6% rise over the last few years.
